POST TENEBRAS, LUX
This series of drawings came out during the beginning of lockdown where I was limited to the basics of paper paint and some metal leaf and gouache, and where the days just felt like one long weekend. This is a continued exploration of my love for metallics, creation and the grand hand behind it.
The energy, colors, textures and qualities of distressed metal are all reflections of the celebration of nature amidst a time of loss and uncertainty. They point to greater hope and joy that I wish to leave a glimpse of, in the confines of someone’s room. This is a reminder to me, and perhaps to others, that freedom doesn’t reside in circumstance, but where our Hope is rested.
Collection is available for custom orders upon request.
